Founded in 1968, a museum of France since 2003, the museum of Ferrières in the Tarn and more widely in the South-West is the first in France dedicated to religious fact and secularism in the history of French Protestantism
Ferrières words are addressed to all visitors regardless of theirbeliefs or disbeliefs : how understand the difficult progress of pluralism and tolerance? why somuch violence, instability, reversals, passion in the religious history of France? What political andreligious ties do they have? What are the resort of religion yesterday and today? This journey through history was conceived with the certainty that knowing one one another’s past is thebest way to learn to live together.
