In 2024, the museum was expanded and a new room showcases a collection of machines from the Vareil printing house of Castres, owned by the Tarn Departmental Council since 1993.

This printing house of “L’avenir du Tarn” printed La Voix de la Montagne, which would become La Voix Protestante. Visitors are surprised by the harmonious arrangement of this room dedicated to them.
Reflecting the activity of the printers of the department from the mid-19th century to 1970, this collection is also an opportunity to connect with the museum library’s collection, which is rich with nearly 25,000 printed works.
