Béarn is the only region where Calvinism was the official religion.
It was in the sixteenth century under the government of Jeanne d'Albret.
Located in his house, this museum traces the history of "Béarn" Protestantism. In addition to the presentation of a reconstituted temple with the furniture of the old Cauterets temple and the model of the Protestant University of Orhez, the visit evokes these great figures of history that were Marguerite d'Angoulême, Jeanne d'Albret, Henri IV, but also those of pastors of the Desert, Etienne Deferre and Louis Victor Gabriac
